How About 100% School Choice

I have a better idea regarding school choice. Why don't we just close all the MPS schools in Millaukee and place the children (and their voucher money) in the private and charter schools and bus the rest to the suburban schools. These are all better schools, according to conservatives, and they should be able to do a better job educating all of the children.

Or might there be another reason that these schools would not want their chance at educating all of Milwaukee's children? Who's standing in the doorways now.

Actually, I just advocated the same thing. Shut down MPS, fire the union, re-open the schools as a 100% charter school system and allow as many kids into the school choice program as there are seats in the classrooms. Virtual schools, too. Let the tax dollar follow the student rather than go to the brick and mortar.

At this point, what would MPS parents have to lose?

How about the suburban schools, though? Still, I agree there is probably some merit though I think the union should stay intact. Gotta leave some thorns in Republican sides...lol.
