Because It's Just Superstition

8 Swings of the bat:

Got an i-Pod for Christmas. (Classic, of course. I am a conservative.) Um, nope. Don't see that song on my list. Watching the Wheels, yep. Ballad of John and Yoko, okay. This inane, soporific anthem of nihlism? No. But thanks for thinking of me.

By the way, Paul was the talented one.

You've called it an inane, nihilistic anthem before (I think almost word for word). Oooh, I guess for a Catholic, calling something nihilistic is like a 4-letter word. Ouch, snap.

Anyway, that's why I keep posting it ... kind of my Kopechne comeback.

We'll have to agree to disagree ... Lennon was far more talented than McCarthy, unless of course you like Kidz Bop.

Kelly got an iPod, too. Me, I'm stuck in the 90s technology-wise.

Merry Christmas!

Wasn't Paul the dead walrus or something?

You guys are so out of it. The better, new anthem is "Imagine This".

I think James left out an adjective which is critical to the analysis.

Yes, it is "inane, soporific, and nihil[istic.]"

It is also solipsistic--or if you prefer, an exercise in omphaloskepticism, (the study of one's own navel.)

In other words, the hermeneutic of the 1960's--and the one through which most Dem pols (and Libertarians) operate.

But it also so true. Take religion out of the equation and our world would be a much happier place. Your little persuasion has been as responsible for death on this planet as Islam ... and continues to be.

I don't recall Lennon killing anyone. You might want to avert your eyes from that area below your navel for just a moment, daddio.

I forgot "a vapid swill of toxic syrup emitting a noxious odor."

That's much better. I can live with that!
