Beaning Leads to Jailtime

This is pathetic.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A youth baseball coach accused of offering an 8-year-old money to bean an autistic teammate so he couldn't play was sentenced Thursday to one to six years in prison.

Fayette County Judge Ralph Warman sentenced 29-year-old Mark R. Downs Jr. of Dunbar, Pa. to consecutive six-to-36-month sentences for corruption of minors and criminal solicitation to commit simple assault. A jury convicted Downs in September.

Warman revoked Downs' bond and sent him to prison.

Downs didn't speak at the sentencing but told reporters "I didn't do nothing" as he was led out of the courtroom.

The win-at-all-costs mentality of the Bushies is no different than what this butthead did. In fact, the behavior exhibited by this clown is a direct result of the conservative culture war, in my opinion.

And here I thought he was inspired by Bill Clinton's 1992 execution of a mentally retarded man, Rickey Ray Rector, just so he could get a few votes in New Hampshire.

He didn't execute him ... personally.

And, Clinton never mocked a person to be executed in the way that our "compassionate conservative" did with Karla Faye Tucker ...

"Please," Bush whimpered, his lips pursed in mock desperation, "don't kill me."

The recent school-shooting can also be placed at the feet of the Warlike Terrorist Bushitler Fascist Combine.

Whassamatta you that you haven't already done it?

Because ... those incidents have nothing to do with winning at all costs.

And, I have never compared Bush to Hilter. Hitler was much smarter.

You 3 have got to be kidding. Here's a child who may never get involved in activities again, thanks to this pig, and y'all are going to blather about Bush? What does he have to do this poor kid?

MEN! Sheesh!

Hi Kate ... welcome. Regarding this incident ... my sorry memory seems to recall another incident a number of years ago involving Susan Smith, who drowned her two young children after her boyfriend rejected her.

Here's what Newt Gingrich (that paragon of virtue) said three days before the 1994 election: "I think that the mother killing the two children in South Carolina vividly reminds every American how sick the society is getting and how much we need to change things."

Gingrich concluded, "The only way you get change is to vote Republican."

What comes around goes around and Republicans are reaping what they sowed.

If all Republicans were true conservatives, that statement would be true. :) Unfortunately, it's not. :(

It's funny you mention that. I think that true conservatives are akin to fair weather friends. They are Republicans as long as Republicans kowtow to their wishes.

As soon as Republicans begin showing some independence and humanity, conservatives suddently cry RINO and bolt. Be very careful, conservatives set themselves up as the only true believers ... might be a reason that they have never been able to achiveve true power ... the populace rejects their message.

Normally, I would agree with you, but really these so-called conservatives we have now, aren't true conservatives. I believe you are referring to the Religious Conservatives, who are bolting from the Republican party because their not getting their way.

I think Kate is referring to real, true blue conservatives who believe in small government and cringe at the laws the religious wrongs want.
